After a bit of looking around, I've come to the conclusion that one possibility is Enjin: www.enjin.com/
It's apparently free and I'd be happy to sign us up and create us a site and do all the tinkering if someone gives me the go ahead

Edit 2: Created a "Guild" LOP site to see what features and etc can be used and how easily it can be manipulated. Should it be decided that Enjin is acceptable, I'll happily do work to make it an effective site for us
